We think that that one? hour we spend on Sundays inside a building (church?) constitutes worship. Worship is a state of being and not some organizational meeting we practice 1/7. It is also personal. Every command in the ten commandments is in singular. I don't go to church to worship. After I accepted Jesus as Lord and savior I was already in worship mode and that will never end. The Bible says worship is what we'll be doing when we get to heaven. worship was never meant to be a sporadic.

it is a nice and romantic video it has missed the true meaning of worship. Worship is spiritual (john 4:24) but we have turned it into a mere ritual (spiritual vs ritual) or a meaningless ceremony which those before us invented and called 'worship'. Worship is submission to authority. It is recognizing the Lordship of God and Jesus.And it started that moment we accepted Jesus Christ, first as Lord and second as Savior. That's? why the apostles address him as 'the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ'.

You don't really need instructions to worship. I should? just come naturally. If you have trouble with it, just loosen off and do what ever you think is the right thing to do. Other people in the room may judge you but God doesn't and worship is all about your relationship with God and the time worshipping is spent with Him, not worrying about what other people are doing or thinking about you. You know, not that I think about it, its best to always be weak. It makes us completely dependent upon God and oh boy does he loves for us to lean and depend on him. I don't have powerful words to say but? just simple words from my heart to God's, "Lord help me to continue to be weak (in a sense) so your spirit can be strong in me."

In fact, the question itself presumes that true worship has fundamentally to do with the leader's personal posture. Not necessary. On one of Paul's DVD's (Creating Flow, I think), one lady interviewed answered that, at least from her perception. If a worship leader makes eye contact, it comes across (at heast to her) that he/she is more concerned with pleasing the congregation rather than worship of God. A good place to look is just above the last row, and don't be afraid to look around. Hope? that helps.

My point was against performances lol and was less about what the content is and more with the fact that people are expected not to interact in most situations. I have? no problem with my church, I love it :) I think in some ways we're singing off the same hymnsheet if you'll pardon the pun. But I don't think that Brian McClaren has to have a word of caution hanging round his neck more than any pastor or teacher.
