It's really not that hard. Unlike modern games, it actually lets you explore. There's no owl telling you exactly where to go. Most places can be reached very early in the game...it's possible to enter the 8th dungeon? without even finding the first one, for example. In every other Zelda game, this isn't how it works unless you use weird bugs. Zelda 1 is not hard, but it forces you to learn on your own. It just doesn't spoon-feed you.

I agree that the 2nd one wasn't all that great. The first one was quite cryptic but the fans such as myself love figuring that out because it's fun. I mean if they did tell where to go it would be way to easy and there would be no challenge to it. I for one love this game. Yea the first time picking it up I was confused but eventully you get into that thinking mood where it's? not that hard. To me the exploration aspect is the most important gameplay aspect of zelda the whole thing about is being anchored to your method of travel imo makes the exploration aspect less enjoyable. That's why Tp,oot,and mm are my 3 favorite zelda games(yes in that order sue me) As it is the only travel method i liked was epona and using your feet if they gave us a new method of travel but stopped archoring us to it i would enjoy the game that? had it.

I agree with Arab. I started playing WW yesterday after not touching it in 4 years. I really love this games exploration aspect, however, when it comes to making you? find triforce maps and then HAVING to pay 3,200 rupees to have Tingle read them and then HAVING to look for all the pieces of the triforce always gets to be a bit much. I catch myself dreading finishing up the last temple because I feel the last end of the game is a huge grind session. You're right Axel, I wish it was more exploring

The maps in WW were another reason why WW is my favorite zelda game, If fact i just bought a GameCube after my Wii broke, just to play WW again, I loved the treasure aspect, and how there was just SO MUCH of it to find... The only part? I didn't like was when you HAD to do it, like finding the triforce shard, although it wasn't so bad, because it was only 6... but that sense of exploration was there, especially with the hidden crawl holes all over the place... and like secret entrances.

I can't believe fans want a non-linear game for Zelda, yet are fine for linearity with Mario. It just makes no sense. Zelda has a story to maintain, not to mention the new items/skills need to come in a certain order. Mario is a platformer where you learn nothing or next to nothing and, really, could probably beat Bowser right off? the bat if the game allowed it.

I think the next Zelda should have a vast overworld similar to the overworlds in the Elder Scrolls? series. It should have HUGE fields, (But alternate fast transportation) Oceans that you have to cross to reach other lands, mountains of course, and even another sky area. I think the Zelda overworlds are just a tad limited in exploring.

ordinarily I'd agree, but the example I gave was reimagined for twilight princess only instead of the winch feature using the claw? rope thing you dug up items as a wolf. completely ruined the aspect. it would be more fitting idea to use ones that were tried in several games like the hook shot/claw shot and transferred well. better yet something that improves through the series (raft from loz becoming boat in ww) out of curiosity what was the reason for your signature ending?

You're right, it is the saddest area in the game, the feeling of abandonment is always present, and you have this power to bring life and take life, and the game forces you to do and see that. I saw all the frames in the shack before the game zooms in then and I felt very sad for the captain. I like melancholic moments like that in Zelda, what I really think that they should have done? was to give a sense of hope in the end of the game, with the dragon helping the robots revive and start again.

Well, in my opinion Zelda SS is the saddest game of the whole saga (even when Majora's is a whole dark side for Zelda)? for me it makes it even worse when you see all that pretty watercolour art (I prefer Twilight's art though) and see how the world has changed through time, how a single act can change the whole story for some... more like real life actually is XD

I never really thought about it that much. I never thought about who or what made the Lanayru area a desert, let alone remember the war that the begining of the game talked about. But I do remember there were 2 robots in Skipper's shack. That could of been his wife & son.? You even see his son on the top right corner of the picture with all those robots on the ship (out of the 2, its the one on the right). It would be nice if we could be able to talk to them all...

If you remember right, when you revived Lanayru, he was very ill, to the point where he eventually passed away (as you can see from his skeleton in the future). That could've been a result of the war. The enemies could have attacked him and that could be why? he was so ill.

I saw that too and I thought It was a lil weird but really cool, because you know that for Zelda they would rather go for the unique rather? than the same, that is why they changed the Blue beta Fairy in OoT for a Drag Queen with pink hair (which I love). What they also were trying to do in TP was to please the fans, so it has some of the OoT art style. I love how those Midna arts look, it looks like Wild West meets Mexican Dia de Los Muertos.

I really enjoy the wild west of TP. The only thing I don't like about P is it is dark.Not like dark evil, dark like? it looks dark. I think with Zelda, each game had a theme. When you mention the Wild West theme, that actually makes sense of what was being? accomplished in twilight princess. Each game had a theme sorta like skyward sword was a more anime with celshading theme, majora's mask being a crazy nightmare theme, ocarina of time being a medival theme, and link to the past being more fantasy themed.

thats funny cause guns were originally called hand CANNONS and they are more similar than you think. they both have barrels, they both shoot stuff, they both have to be ignited to shoot something, they both kill people. a cannon may not be handheld or very easily portable but it is the same thing to an extent as? I've already stated before how it could work. A canon and a gun is nowhere near the comparison of a knife to a sword. And even at that a sword and a knife are? two different things meant for two different actions. A canon is meant to bring down a strong defense - this requires a lot of time and as a whole isn't accurate, while a gun is used to for a fast and accurate method to kill. The reason I asked if you couldn't understand sentence structure was because of the difficulty you were having.
