wow this game is arleady more fun than MC. This game needs more co op, and more ballance. Their should be a bigger focus on building. They did? the RPG system well. Wepons need to take les power. U can barely fire any gun more than twice. And u get rapped like 100 times all the time. AND LOSE some random item that u spent 100 hrs trying to get,. And this game crasjhes like every 10 sec. Perfromance and generation is good. Needs caves, lavls, and more.

Minecraft Tip - Nether Portal Position Control

This is how you can make your normal-world Nether portals appear exactly where you want them, rather than letting the game spawn them randomly for you. Useful for fast- travel between two locations, when you want precise control over where your real-world portals are located for design/convenience reasons. This involves no mods, only use of the F3 key, and some extremely simple math.

Well, when I made this, I didn't know the exact numbers, but I explain at the end how the game looks for a portal within a certain range of the destination it calculates.. but now, several people have mentioned the actual numbers... This just forces the game to use the portals you make, positioned however you want in your home or village, instead of? generating its own, or returning you to the wrong portal.

I read about this on? a Minecraft wiki a few months ago. Portals don't spawn randomly ... the way it works is basically that every new portal you build in the normal world teleports you to the closest portal in the nether, rather than creating a new one. If I remember it correctly, for it to create a completely new portal in the nether you would have to be at least 1024 blocks away from the first portal (or 128 blocks in the nether).

Not quite, a fresh portal will auto link with any active? portal within 128 nether, 1024 overworld- you need to deactive all other portals on the others ide for it to establish a correct link. Once you have that link up you can reactive and they will lock onto the correctly placed one.

I bet if, in a custom map, you had a few creeper spawners and got them to agro on the player, as they went past, you could use that to let the player? see all these creepers following him/her, while not being able to do anything (as long as it is a rule to not destroy blocks, of course). That could mess with your confidence and play on your emotions.

So many awesome features, some big, some small... that game has some graphical effects, animation and character motion techniques, and gameplay elements that so many big-name titles seem to overlook. a pumpkin and 36 iron (enough for more than a full suit of armor) for a golem that wanders around aimlessly (it won't follow you, and you'd have to keep? it in fences or something if you don't want it to wander too far off) and only attacks skeletons, spiders, and zombies (no creepers or slimes) within agro-range of it? It doesn't seem very broken to me.

Yup, definitely nostalgic. You really should show off your LP world.? Mountains like that don't generate anymore. That world was great, especially when the grass was bright. Not sure how it'll look now, but the terrain will still be awesome, no doubt. Hm. Now that I think about it, I think I remember that you generated a map before your LP one, but it was too full of caves and had one tree so you didn't use it. Got that one by any chance? T Flip-Flop and Piston Door Tutorial (MINECRAFT)

Also included is a simple example of a practical use of the Flip-Flop. A piston door that can be opened or closed from either side. I designed it to be so easy to make, even a caveman can do it.

Yea.. I placed the ladders in a failed take of this video (after showing the blocks they are on top of now), because I forgot to show them. I still never showed Lava, or how cool the swords look in your hand, or a closeup of the leaves... my least favorite thing is the water. Besides, the whole fun of Minecraft is building things. When you get tired of building houses, you start building stuff to automate simple tasks. Or if you're really good with redstone, you re-create retro games like Frogger, or make a computer that can do simple math and display images on a screen. "Dump lava on animal"? is a lot less fun and creative than "Build thing that burns animals for you"

Good idea... spawners can be picked up with the Silk Touch enchantment and placed as pig spawners, just like back in the good old days. Make a pen, put the pig spawner in the middle, have a track (long enough for the animals? to finish burning someplace outside the oven) with a minecart or two continuously running through it and the oven. Constant source of cooked food.

How is sprinting overpowered if everyone can do? it? Hunger, and all the other RPG elements have been in Notch's plan since the beginning. go read some old blog posts and see for yourself. The feature freeze is days away, because after that they're only working on bugfixes and optimization until the official release of the game next month. And I don't see how silk touch is overpowered. It's a pain to get that enchantment to show up. You have to spend TONS of levels to get it.

On the server I play on? me and my clan built a base underwater that was probably around 100x100x40 big (bottom of ocean to bedrock). The first layer we built was directly under the seafloor, and you have no idea how annoying it was to have to mine 4 blocks of sand and then plug up the whole for every single block in the ceiling on that floor. It was well worth it in the end though. :]

It's still simple. 90% of the features that get added to the game are optional. If you don't want? to use it, don't make it. If you don't want nether stuff, don't make a nether portal. If you don't like some of the items added, don't craft them. If you don't like strongholds and villages, turn them off in the New World options... And who cares how many players there are?

You should? re-start your world, but don't use any pre-releases anymore. They're really cool when you show us, but for the sake of the LP just use the official updated client.

I think you do need to re-start because you? still haven't found a single "good" cave. Maybe start farms with animals and stuff.
