Matt, I just wanted to let you know that two Valentine One's can actually decrease your capability to detect radar and laser.... each of the units emits trace signals, which the other unit can interpret as radar, or as static. Either way, it can cause the other detector to create false alerts or to fail to detect a police signal in a timely manner. "Guys of Lidar" is a well-respected testing entity; Google? their website and check out the FAQ section for their testing on this. Hope it helps!

Why are you guys running two V1's? From my understanding from? reading radar test information you can't have two radar detectors running simultaneously because the interfere with each other. I have the previous generation of V1 before pop detection and even in its technologically ancient state, it is still absolutely amazing.

You couldn't get the 454 in the cadillac for that generation. Also, the? reason for low hp is due to the change in HP rating. When they changed the rating the powered stayed the same, eg. the Cadillac 500 in 76 makes around 160hp but a couple years earlier it's much higher. This is due mainly to the change in the way hp was rated

Not entirely true. I spent 2K on my ford taurus and to cut a long story short, it now has 206,000 miles on tap 43 mpg on the highway and has never been to a repair shop. Still till this day runs really good as if i just bought it, defentally the best car i have ever? owned and probably will ever own. Its not good looking or fast but gets me to where i need to go.

im buying a 94 chevy blazer for 500 bucks has new battery new driver side window motor new? fuel pump the tires are 75 percent 200 each tire and a new spare new transmission just put in 10,000 miles ago the interior is great and the body has 2 rust spots which i fixed and the engine is a 4.3liter vortec with 122,xxx miles on it. runs great and doesnt shake at all while it idles. the truck also has 4x4 which works great and i get 15mpg in city and 17 on highway.

The guy got one very important fact wrong. The engine is 500 cubic inches, not 454. The only way it would be a 454 is if someone yanked the Caddy motor out and put a Chevy big block in. Anyways, this past summer I scored a complete, running '72 Olds? Delta 88 convertible with the 455 Rocket motor for $1600 from an elderly gentleman in Gardena, Ca. It badly needs a top and could use a new paint job, but its otherwise straight and sound.

i think they should fuse both ideas tho. make a lightweight elise that handles like a dream, maybe add alil more sound dampining stuff 2 it, add a spoiler and rear defuser for more downforce but also turbo it. nothing crazy, maybe only 10? pounds boost, and keep the toyota engine. with the little extra weight the turbo would easly overcome it.

You're right, my mistake. I still think it's a bit of an awkward comparison. If you're trying to figure out the best value for dollar between models you should compare cars of the same year, 2007 RS4 vs 2007 S4. Then, the $20,000 diff is justified. You? don't compare it with a car that's 3 years younger, especially since, as they point out, you can now get a 2007 RS4 (which i did :) for about the same price.

Pleasure. This oil is engineered in Wisconsin and sold on-line. They only drop ship to USA and Canada. You'd have to find somebody who would be willing to export it to you. I'm sure the international shipping and duty fees on a motor oil would be expensive. You'd have to? do a large order to offset those fees to make it worth the hassle. This stuff helped me avoid an engine rebuild from oil consumption in a previous car. I love this stuff.

To eliminate or reduce the oil consumption, you have to stop using the cheap oil the Audi dealers sell. Only use Amsoil European 5W40 to fix that issue. It also? will dramatically help with the turbo-charged cars to drastically reduce sludge and varnish.

First of all this isn't even close to a normal scion, its a? RWD converted TC with 650hp. Second, if you wouldn't be proud to drive this car, you're a moron. You forgot to mention those cool sequential turn signals and the adjustable interior ambient lighting. The engine runs smooth and the xmission is seamless. Hardly know when she shifts. The voice sync software is buggy. Hope they work it out on an upgrade soon. They also forgot to put illumination in the glove box and console storage bin. A small annoyance. In some ways I agree with you but this is also a matter of taste. You also have to pay more (if my memory serves) for a BMW. The? new Mustang offers people (even younger people like me, out of college) the dream to actually buy and make reasonable payments on an iconic American muscle car that gets 32mpg on highway. I wouldn't mind getting a BMW, but for overall style and appeal I prefer the mustang. Just my 2cents worth...

I don't get people that talk about "practicality". There is one car enthusiast at this table, end of discussion. Who cares if you can have more people in your car? I have for a total of thirty minutes over two years had more than one other person in my car. Instead of keeping my four seats in my car, I pulled the rear seat and made my car lighter. Doing so has NOT affected the practicality of my car. Also, if more than one person wants a ride they can? buy their own car.

my uncle and me worked on a car using a chevele's skeleton that we found in a junkyar and built it up. widened the track of the war by a total of 3.50 in, and took a Cadillac engine that he had in his old Cadillac, bored the cylinders and added performance camshaft with lighter strong pistons and installed a whipple supercharger, after it was all said and done the car ran 560 528 lb-ft torque, hp on mid? grade gasoline, that was only on 2 stage supercharger. we could go further.

When I was 17, I had a 500bhp Whipple supercharged GT. I now have a slightly modded (600bhp area) 07 GT500 at the age of 19. It isn't the age. Well horsepower never hurts or helps in a crash , irresponsible drivers make the end results, and I'm pretty sure if your dad gives you a very powerful car he knows his son can handle it.
