YouTube bodybuilders? need to stop being so ignorant. Quarter squats are a completely different variation of an exercise from full or even half squats. It is an essential lift for jumpers to get a more powerful pop-up. It has a different purpose then other squatting variations.

I can understand you don't like geared lifting, however, to be really good at it, it takes as much hard work as raw lifting. We are all in strength sports and should appreciate what the other does. i agree that age makes the competition narrower thats why i am going for the open 165 squat record which is 502 or so. i am sorry btw that i hated on you now seeing? your raw records. i just hate geared lifters because i have seen guys bench 450 that do 250 without. likewise with squats, ive seen 700 when they do 490 without, i did not realize that you could actually lift that much raw. it was immature on my part, and i do apologize

I am ranked number one for my age also. However, I choose to compete like a real? lifter and do not water down my competition. Competing by age really narrows your competition. Again, you seem to be quite hostile, not sure what you have to prove. I have been a top ranked bencher for over a decade. Too bad you have such little respect for those that came before you.

I am not going to comment on your lift, I think the dislikes speak for themselves. The funny thing is you went over and questioned? my lifting on a video. I am currentely ranked within the top ten in bench pressing in four categories. I don't think you should really be throwing stones. Best of luck in your pursuit of strength.

there is no formula,? all you do is use a weight that you cant get more than 6 reps, but will for sure get 4. the idea is to go till failure without actually failing. And then just increase the weight by 5-15lbs each week. for example last workout i did 405 x 4 for 3 sets. I will either do the 410 and try to get 4-6 next workout, or will just repeat doing 405 until i get 6 on all of them

you can just google "max ot workout" and find everything from there. All i do specifically is 3 sets of squats for 4-6 reps and 2 sets of deadlift for 4-6 reps. Thats all i do for a week. just super hard. But i do add in an explosive day in? the off season, right now im in track season, but in the offseason i lift legs twice a week. once going what i just said, and the other workout is lighter with powercleans, jump squats, box jumps, ect.

Max OT. For upper body? i use somethin else, but for lower body i use Max OT and i usually do not do quarter squats. just 3 super hard sets 4-6 reps, once a week. it has helped me tremendously. my squat is rediculous now
